computermaus (2023)

A computermaus, also known simply as a “mouse,” is an input device used with computers to control the movement of the cursor or pointer on a screen. There are many different types of computer mice, including ergonomic designs, gaming mice with additional buttons and features, and trackballs or touchpads which can be used in place of a traditional mouse. The small automatons offer an opportunity to explore the complexities and distortions of perception within language thus describing the nature we live in. computermaus consists of a pack of mice scurrying on the floor. Expanding our understanding of technological devices contrasts helps us to play with the understanding of advanced human-computer interactions.

“computermaus” is a public intervention where a group of autonomous “computer mice” freely navigate the space and interact with their surroundings. Outdated computer mice were stripped from their original internals and re-equipped with a fresh “brain” that enables the newborn animals to act independenlty, liberated from their normative purpose.
